Bengaluru City University BA History: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

For my first year I paid ?60600. The tution fee was 24142+1886 (mount carmel college and mount carmel educational society), the registration fees was 600, admission was 200, development fee was 1000, lab fee was 522 and there are other fees regarding few socities and also for the Library and the college magazine. I also have an extra language which is German so for that I paid 4500 so in total 60600. Currently for my 2nd year I paid an amount of 53300. The tution fee was 28164+1886 this year the caution fee was 2000 and the rest like development, lab, and other charges were the same as first year. My batchmates also pay somewhat a similar amount though I will not be able to give a detailed structure for that. There are many scholarships available few of them would be the central sector scholarship for college and university students which awards 12000 per annum ,then post graduate scholarship for single child rewarding 36,200 per annum and there are also many government related scholarships like the minority scholarships then the Sanchi Honnamma scholarships and many more. After admission there are also many scholarships for the students.

Tuition fee increase policy I don't know much but for every course there is different fee structure suitable to the course which is nice and we can pay the fees in installment also for the particular year sem. For me for my course including my admission fee I have to pay 88000 in total which we pay in installment as we first pay 55000 at the beginning and now my end sem exm for 2nd sem is going to start so i clear my outstanding fee i.e 32000 and i think it's helpful for me and if any student is suffering from any problems than the college authority is always ready to help them in any possible way

The fee structure changes per year and one have to pay fine if one crosses the due date. Annualy I am spending above 1 lakh which covers my tuition, rent and other expenses. Currently I am unaware the scholarships they are offering but they do offer a lot of scholarship and also based on exclusivity. They usually offer 5000 as stipend and would be increased base on plb.

The fees compared to other prominent colleges in kind of less. Simple BA courses doesn't go from beyond 1 lakh per academic year. For my individual course it varies every year but it was ?90,000 in first year and ?85,000 in second. Additional foreign language classes asks for extra fees. There are many scholarships available for the students in need as well. Placement Cell of the college helps to bring us internships and the stipends starts from ?2000 to ?12,000 a month.
