The MSc Biotechnology program at MS Ramaiah College of Arts, Science, and Commerce is structured over four semesters and aligns with industry standards. It has seven PhD-qualified faculty members known for their friendly and approachable nature. Each semester includes two internal exams, a mock practical, and concludes with final university theory and practical exams. In the last semester, students are required to submit a research project instead of taking a practical exam.
The course is affiliated with Bengaluru City University. Students in the General category pay an annual fee of Rs. 64,000, plus an extra Rs. 10,000 per semester for maintenance. Admission for merit students is based on academic performance. Those entering through the management quota have a significantly higher fee of Rs. 3,00,000. SC/ST students benefit from concessions on the University's registration fee but do not receive further fee reductions.
