PPU M.Ed FAQs
Ques. Is there any entrance exam for M.Ed admission at Patliputra University?
Ans. No, Patliputra University does not conduct any separate entrance examination for M.Ed admission. The selection is entirely merit-based, meaning your rank in the merit list depends on the marks you scored in your B.Ed degree. You need to fill the online application form at admission.ppuponline.in during the M.Ed application window (typically in September), and the merit list is prepared based on your B.Ed marks, choice of college, and reservation category. This is different from some other states where a separate M.Ed entrance test is conducted.
Ques. What is the actual fee for M.Ed at PPU, and why do different sources show different amounts?
Ans. There are two components to the M.Ed fee at PPU. The university fee is INR 5,120 for the 2-year programme, which is what Patliputra University officially charges. However, M.Ed is offered through affiliated Teacher Training colleges, and each college charges its own fees separately. For example, Mirza Ghalib Teacher's Training College charges approximately INR 1.80 lakh for the full M.Ed course. Other colleges may charge between INR 35,000 and INR 70,000. So the total amount you pay depends on which college you are allotted. Always check the specific college's fee structure before applying.
