Ques. Who can apply for Diploma Lateral Entry in Mechanical Engineering at RCPI?
Ans. Candidates who have completed a 2-year ITI certificate in a relevant trade (Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Welder, or similar mechanical trades) or passed Intermediate Science (I.Sc) with Physics and Mathematics are eligible. Final-year ITI students may apply provisionally.
Ques. What is the total fee for the Diploma Lateral Entry Mechanical programme at RCPI?
Ans. Total fees for the two-year Diploma Lateral Entry in Mechanical Engineering are INR 96,300. Year 1 fees are INR 49,100 (including one-time charges of INR 3,000, tuition of INR 45,000, and first-semester exam fee of INR 1,100). Year 2 fees are INR 47,200.
Ques. Is there an entrance exam for Diploma Lateral Entry admission at RCU?
Ans. No separate entrance exam is required. Admission to the Diploma Lateral Entry programme at RCPI is merit-based on ITI or I.Sc marks. Candidates may also participate in JCECEB polytechnic lateral entry counselling conducted by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board.

Ans.
