Ques. Does BPT at GNSU require NEET-UG?
Ans. NEET-UG is accepted for BPT admission at GNSU but it is not the only route. Candidates may also apply through CUET-UG scores or on direct merit using 10+2 PCB mark sheets. NEET-UG 2026 results were declared on July 20, 2026. Candidates who have qualified NEET-UG can use the scorecard while applying at the GNSU admission portal along with their 10+2 documents and photograph.
Ques. What specializations are available in BPT at GNSU?
Ans. GNSU’s BPT programme offers nine clinical specialization tracks: MSK and Orthopaedic, Neurology, Cardiopulmonary, Pediatric, Sports Medicine, Rheumatology, Geriatrics, Women’s Health, and Manual Therapy. These specialization tracks allow students to develop focused clinical skills during the programme. The hospital attached to the GNSU campus provides practical exposure across these specializations throughout all four academic years of the programme.
Ques. What is the total fee for BPT at GNSU?
Ans. The annual fee for BPT at GNSU is INR 1,24,000, covering tuition of INR 1,08,000, exam fee of INR 3,500, and miscellaneous charges of INR 12,500. One-time fees at programme start total INR 12,500. The total cost across 4 academic years is INR 5,08,500 at the 2026 fee level. No fee is charged during the fifth year, which is the compulsory clinical internship year.
Ques. What career options does BPT from GNSU offer?
Ans. BPT graduates from GNSU can work as clinical physiotherapists, sports physiotherapists, rehabilitation therapists, pediatric physiotherapists, and cardiopulmonary physiotherapy specialists in hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centres, and sports academies. Graduates can set up independent physiotherapy practices after completing the one-year internship. They may also pursue M.Sc in Physiotherapy or MPT for advanced specialization and academic careers in the field.
Ques. Is there an on-campus hospital for BPT clinical training at GNSU?
Ans. Yes, GNSU has a hospital located within its campus that provides clinical training to BPT students from the very first academic year. The on-campus hospital enables students to gain hands-on experience across multiple physiotherapy specializations including orthopaedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation without travelling to external hospitals. The compulsory one-year internship in the fifth year is also completed at this attached hospital facility.
Ques. What is the difference between BPT and B.Sc Physiotherapy?
Ans. BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) and B.Sc Physiotherapy are similar in content but differ in structure and recognition. BPT is a 5-year programme including a compulsory internship and is the standard degree for physiotherapy practice in India, regulated by the Rehabilitation Council of India. B.Sc Physiotherapy is generally a 3-year degree without mandatory internship. The BPT degree from GNSU provides better eligibility for hospital positions and independent clinical practice across India.
