The course structure includes two exams per semester, a mid-semester and an end-semester exam, along with a practical exam called viva. In the first semester, there are two mid-semester exams: a 30-mark MCQ exam and a 50-mark written exam. Practical exams are designed to enhance skill development, but management of these exams, especially the viva, is noted to be lacking. From the second semester onward, only one practical mid-semester exam is conducted.
Faculty-student relations are supportive, with faculty providing personal contact information for academic and placement assistance. The B.Voc program offers extensive internship and placement opportunities in fields like IT, Digital Marketing, Banking and Finance, and Management. Around 65-70% of B.Voc students secure internships in their first semester, with many securing placements in their final year. The average placement package ranges from 7 to 10 lakhs. Internships offer a stipend starting at 5,000, and numerous companies are available for hiring.
The tuition fee is Rs. 51,000 per year, with additional costs including an exam fee of Rs. 5,000 and professional regulatory charges of Rs. 1,500 annually. There is a one-time refundable caution money deposit of Rs. 5,000 and a convocation fee of Rs. 3,000. Enrollment fees are Rs. 1,500, charged once; registration fees are Rs. 600 per semester. Semester-specific tuition fees are Rs. 25,500, with exam fees and NSDC registration fees at Rs. 2,500 and Rs. 1,200 per semester. Uniform fees or PRC are charged at Rs. 1,500 annually.
Caution money deposits, refundable post-graduation, range from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000 depending on the course. A degree fee of Rs. 3,000 is applicable only in the last semester.
