Ques. Does Geeta University accept CUET UG scores for B.A. (Hons.) Economics admission, or is it purely merit-based?
Ans. Geeta University accepts both CUET UG scores and direct merit-based admissions for B.A. (Hons.) Economics. Students who have appeared for CUET UG 2026 can use their scores to apply, and the university offers scholarships based on CUET percentile as well. However, students who have not appeared for CUET can still apply directly based on their Class 12 percentage. There is no mandatory requirement to have a CUET score for admission to this program.
Ques. What is the actual total fee I will pay for the entire B.A. (Hons.) Economics course at Geeta University, including all charges?
Ans. The total cost for the 3-year program (excluding hostel) is approximately Rs. 3,05,000. This includes tuition fee of Rs. 2,40,000 (Rs. 40,000 per semester), one-time admission fee of Rs. 10,000, application fee of Rs. 1,000, examination fee of Rs. 15,000 (Rs. 2,500 per semester), uniform charges of Rs. 9,000, and annual other charges of Rs. 30,000 (Rs. 10,000 per year). If you opt for hostel, the additional cost ranges from Rs. 1,02,000 to Rs. 1,44,000 per year depending on the room type.
Ques. Can I pursue B.A. (Hons.) Economics at Geeta University if I am from a Science or Commerce background?
Ans. Yes, absolutely. The eligibility for B.A. (Hons.) Economics at Geeta University requires only that you have passed 10+2 in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks. There is no restriction on the stream you studied in Class 12. Students from Science, Commerce, and Arts backgrounds are all equally eligible to apply.
Ques. What is the GUTS exam and is it mandatory for admission?
Ans. GUTS stands for Geeta University Test of Scholarship. It is an internal scholarship test conducted by the university and is not mandatory for admission. However, it is highly recommended as it can help you earn up to 100% scholarship on your tuition fee based on your performance. Even if you are already receiving a merit-based or other scholarship, you can appear for GUTS to increase your scholarship amount. The last date to apply for GUTS for the 2026-27 session is March 31, 2026.
