JLU Ph.D. (Law) FAQs
Ques. Is UGC-NET mandatory for Ph.D. (Law) admission at JLU Bhopal?
Ans. UGC-NET/JRF in Law is not strictly mandatory for Ph.D. admission at JLU. Candidates with a valid UGC-NET/JRF score in Law (Subject Code: 58) are given preference and may be exempted from the university's own entrance test (JLURET). However, candidates without UGC-NET/JRF can still apply by appearing in JLURET followed by a personal interview. Having a UGC-NET/JRF qualification significantly strengthens the application and also makes candidates eligible for the UGC-JRF monthly fellowship of Rs. 37,000 per month, which can substantially offset the programme fees.
