Ques. What is the difference between BBA (Global Business Management) and BBA (General) at SGT University?
Ans. BBA (Global Business Management) is a specialized program with a focused curriculum on international business, cross-cultural management, global economics, international trade, and global supply chain management. It is designed for students who aspire to work in multinational corporations, export-import businesses, or pursue higher education abroad. BBA (General) covers core business subjects like marketing, finance, HR, and operations without a specific international focus. The Global Business Management program also offers unique advantages like international university partnerships (Utah Tech University, Keele University, University of Kent) and opportunities for student exchanges and study tours abroad, which are not available in the general BBA program.
Ques. Is CUET mandatory for BBA Global Business Management admission at SGT University?
Ans. No, CUET is not mandatory for BBA admission at SGT University. The university accepts CUET UG scores as one of the admission criteria, but also offers direct merit-based admissions based on Class 12 marks. Students who have not appeared for CUET can still apply directly through the SGT University admission portal (admission.sgtuniversity.ac.in) and will be considered for admission based on their Class 12 percentage. However, students with good CUET scores may have an advantage in the merit list. The minimum eligibility is 60% aggregate in Class 12 with English as one of the subjects.

If they choose to continue for a 4th year (8 semesters), they receive a BBA (Hons.) or BBA (Hons. with Research) degree, which involves a more in-depth specialization and a research dissertation. The 4-year BBA (Hons. with Research) is particularly beneficial for students planning to pursue MBA or higher education, as it provides a stronger academic foundation and research skills. The additional year costs INR 2,00,000 in tuition. Students can decide at the end of Year 3 whether to exit with a BBA or continue for the Hons. degree.
