The MBBS course at the college spans 5 years, consisting of a 4.5-year academic program followed by a mandatory one-year internship at the affiliated hospital. Each batch includes 100 students divided among Physiology, Biochemistry, and Anatomy departments, with 6-7 faculty members per department. The faculty-student ratio is favorable, with one mentor for every 10 students, and faculty members are approachable. Exams are challenging compared to other state colleges, but the pass-to-fail ratio is not yet available as the first results are pending.
Upon completing the course and passing all subjects, students enter a paid internship, earning 20,000 to 25,000 INR monthly. The course fee totals approximately 50 lakhs INR, with the first year costing 9.3 lakhs INR and the second year 8.9 lakhs INR, totaling 40.05 lakhs INR due to a one-time refundable caution fee paid initially. NRI students pay 6.5 lakhs INR annually for four years. Additional annual costs include 1.5 lakhs INR for hostel, 15,000 INR for transportation, 20,000 INR for sports and culture, and 15,000 INR for exams.
Refundable caution fees include 5,000 INR for college, 25,000 INR for lab, and 10,000 INR for hostel, with a student kit costing 40,000 INR. The college does not offer its own scholarships, but government schemes are available. While current interns are compensated, future stipends are yet to be determined. Tuition fees remain stable for enrolled students, though new batches may see increases. After the internship, graduates can pursue government jobs or prepare for the NEET PG exam.
