SVSU B.Pharm FAQs

Ques. What is the total fee for B.Pharm at SVSU Meerut and how is it structured?

Ans. The total programme fee for the 4-year B.Pharm at SVSU is INR 6,02,000 as per the official 2026-27 fee structure. This includes INR 1,40,000 in Year 1 (INR 70,000 per semester), INR 1,45,000 each in Years 2, 3, and 4 (INR 72,500 per semester), a one-time admission fee of INR 17,000 in the first semester, and a refundable caution money of INR 10,000. SNET registration (INR 1,650) and hostel charges are billed separately.

Ques. Is a NEET score required for B.Pharm admission at SVSU?

Ans. No, a NEET score is not mandatory for B.Pharm admission at SVSU. Admission is primarily through SNET (Subharti National Eligibility Test) or direct merit based on 10+2 science percentage. Candidates who have appeared in NEET may also apply under direct merit if SVSU recognises their scores, but this should be confirmed with the admissions office. Unlike government pharmacy colleges where NEET is often used for ranking, SVSU uses its own SNET for institutional selection.

Ques. What career options are available after B.Pharm from SVSU?

Ans. B.Pharm graduates from SVSU can work as pharmacists in hospital pharmacy departments, community pharmacies, drug manufacturing companies, and pharmaceutical marketing. Roles in quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and clinical research are also common. Many graduates also pursue M.Pharm or MBA in pharmaceutical management after B.Pharm, or appear for GPAT to qualify for PG pharmacy programmes and industry research scholarships.

Ques. Does SVSU B.Pharm have a hospital pharmacy component for practical training?

Ans. Yes. Kharvel Subharti College of Pharmacy is located on the SVSU campus in Meerut, which also houses Subharti Hospital. B.Pharm students benefit from clinical pharmacy exposure at the hospital’s pharmacy department, including dispensing, drug information services, and patient counselling observation sessions. This hospital access is a practical advantage compared to standalone pharmacy colleges that rely on external clinical tie-ups for student training.

Ques. What is the minimum eligibility for B.Pharm at SVSU and can Biology-only students apply?

Ans. The minimum eligibility is 50% aggregate in 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with one of Mathematics, Biology, Biotechnology, or Computer Science as the third subject. Students who studied Biology but not Mathematics in 10+2 are eligible, provided they meet the 50% requirement. SC/ST students are eligible with 45% aggregate. Students from non-science streams are not eligible for B.Pharm admission.

SVSU Meerut: 1 Answered Question

Can I go with Subharti University for a correspondence course?

Shivam SharmaB.Com from Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (2019)

Subharti Institution is a Meerut-based private university. Some of my friends studied there. They said it is very easy to cheat in exams. Now, this kind of reputation isn't that excellent.

But yes, you can go with Subharti University for correspondence courses because it follows all the Government recognition like UGC, DEB, AIU, AICTE . It means your degree will be valid from this University globally.

Though it is suggested that IGNOU would be a better option.
