Integral University Ph.D. (Bio-Sciences) FAQs
Ques. What is the difference between full-time and part-time Ph.D. programs at Integral University?
Ans. The Ph.D. (Bio-Sciences) program is offered in both full-time and part-time modes. Full-time candidates must complete the program in a minimum of 3 years and maximum of 5 years, while part-time candidates have a minimum duration of 4 years and maximum of 6 years. Full-time students are expected to be on campus regularly for research work, coursework, and seminars, whereas part-time students have more flexibility in their schedule. Both modes follow the same curriculum, entrance test, and evaluation criteria. The choice between full-time and part-time depends on individual circumstances and research commitments.
Ques. Are there any exemptions from the Ph.D. entrance test (IUET)?
Ans. Yes, candidates who have qualified in UGC NET/JRF, CSIR NET/JRF, ICAR NET/SLET, GATE, or GPAT examinations with valid scores are exempted from the entrance test. Additionally, candidates who have successfully completed a regular M.Phil. program from a recognized university or institution are also exempted. However, all applicants, including exempted candidates, must compete in the IUET for the Integral Research Fellowship (IRF) award, which provides 6,000 per month to top performers in each discipline. Exempted candidates still need to appear for the presentation and personal interview round.
