Integral Univ B.Tech Lateral Biomedical Engg FAQs
Ques. What is the difference between the 4-year B.Tech and 3-year Lateral B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering?
Ans. The 4-year B.Tech is a regular program for 10+2 pass students covering all engineering fundamentals from the first year. The 3-year Lateral B.Tech is designed for diploma holders and B.Sc graduates, allowing them to join directly in the second year. This saves one year of study and reduces overall cost while maintaining the same quality of education and degree. Both programs have identical curriculum content from the second year onwards, ensuring equivalent learning outcomes and career prospects.
Ques. Is JEE Mains score mandatory for admission to the Lateral B.Tech program?
Ans. No, JEE Mains is not mandatory. Candidates can gain admission through multiple pathways: IUET 2026 (Integral University's own entrance test), JEE Mains, UPSEE, or other state-level engineering entrance exams. Candidates who have already qualified JEE Mains, JEE Advanced, UPSEE, CMAT, or other prominent university entrance exams are exempted from IUET and can directly apply by submitting their score cards. This flexibility allows candidates to choose the most convenient entrance exam pathway.
