- As a science undergraduate at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, my experience has been a blend of academic rigor and personal growth. The university stands out for its well-structured curriculum, especially in Mathematics.
- The faculty is approachable and knowledgeable, often encouraging discussions beyond the syllabus, which fosters a deeper understanding of concepts. Seminars and workshops are frequent, providing exposure to new developments in science.
- However, challenges include occasional administrative delays and the need for better infrastructure in certain areas, such as classrooms and hostels. Despite these, the learning environment and peer interactions make up for the gaps
Dislikes
- there are certain areas where the institution could improve. One significant drawback is the infrastructure in some parts of the campus. Although the labs are reasonably equipped, classrooms often lack modern facilities like projectors.
- Another issue is the limited availability of extracurricular opportunities in certain domains. While cultural and academic events are organized, the focus on sports and inter-disciplinary activities could be enhanced to ensure holistic development.
- Administrative inefficiencies are another concern. Processes like fee payment, exam form submission, and scholarship applications are often delayed or poorly managed, causing unnecessary stress for students

- Infrastructure of the collage, class, lab, and field os the campus
- Faculties of botany department are very responsible
- Zoology labs and meuseum contain good amount of leaving specimen

- Daily hygine practice of some departments in not that good .
- Less number of washrooms, water collers are available for students

- Learning opportunity is good. Campus is neat and clean. Staff is supportive and helpful.
- Sports area is nice. Good equipments are provided for playing. There are two big playgrounds including a badminton court
- Teachers are good and supportive. They motivate the students here and provide good opportunities of learning.
Dislikes
- College should give good placements and internships to the students.
- College fests need to be held atleast every year.
- Lab equipments should be increased and should be provided to each and every student.

Curriculum is good and understandable.
It prepares us to do multiple lab experiments and understand the nature well .
Theory is good and lengthy . Curriculum includes various life related things in botany as well as in zoology.
Experiments and socializing is immense in this course .
Includes making herbarium and visiting zoological and biological parks . Geological mapping

Cuuriculum is very nice ,it is good for ugc and some upto reach to upsc. The exam and assignment and project are the nice.
Paper difficulty is moderate to high. The frequency of exam is almost after every 5-6 months.

- I like the facilities of this college very much
- I like this college campus more than other colleges as it has all kinds of facilities
- Here a separate department has been created for each stream, like commerce department for commerce, arts department for BA etc.
Dislikes
- I don't like its parking facilities because they charge us for parking our bikes daily.
- Most of the areas of this campus are open due to which there is a lot of problem in commuting during rains.
- The departments created in it are located far away which makes it difficult for us to do any work.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I took this admission because jobs are recruited through campus and its job rate is higher compared to other colleges. Here, along with studies, practical knowledge is also given which has real world application. I am very happy with its teaching methods, the way of studying here is absolutely good

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University (DDU Gorakhpur) offers a Ph.D. in Botany. A candidate must hold a Master's degree in Botany or a related field with at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for reserved categories). Admission to the Ph.D. program is based on the Research Entrance Test (RET) conducted by the university. Candidates who have qualified for UGC-NET (including JRF), CSIR-NET, SLET, or GATE are exempted from the entrance test. Shortlisted candidates from the entrance exam or exempted category are required to appear for an interview.
