TANUVAS PGDDPQA FAQs
Ques. Is the PG Diploma in Dairy Processing and Quality System at TANUVAS a full-time or distance mode programme?
Ans. This programme is offered exclusively through Distance Education mode by the TANUVAS Directorate of Distance Education (DDE). It is not a full-time on-campus programme. However, students must attend a mandatory 10-day contact class programme each semester at VC&RI, Namakkal.
Ques. What is the total fee for the TANUVAS PG Diploma in Dairy Processing and Quality System?
Ans. The total course fee is Rs. 20,000, payable at the time of registration. Additionally, an application fee of Rs. 1,000 (General) or Rs. 500 (SC/ST) is required at the time of applying.
Ques. Can working professionals apply for this programme?
Ans. Yes, this programme is specifically designed for working professionals. In fact, professional experience and service are given additional weightage in the merit list for selection, making it ideal for those already employed in the dairy or food industry.
Ques. What is the minimum qualification required to apply for this programme?
Ans. Candidates must hold a B.V.Sc. & AH, B.Tech. Food Processing Technology, B.Sc. Dairy Science, B.Sc. (Agriculture), or any other related discipline from a recognised university. A minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree is generally required.

Ans. Selection is based on a merit list that considers marks in the Bachelor's degree, professional experience/service, medals/awards, and the score in the TANUVAS DDE online entrance examination. There is no external national-level exam required.
Ques. Where are the contact classes held, and how long do they last?
Ans. The mandatory contact classes are held at Veterinary College and Research Institute (VC&RI), Namakkal. Each semester has a 10-day contact class programme where practical sessions, skill evaluations, and final theory examinations are conducted. Students must arrange their own accommodation during these sessions.
