Ques. What is the advantage of B.E. Lateral Entry (EEE) over the regular B.E. programme at SCSMV?
Ans. B.E. Lateral Entry allows diploma holders to directly join the 2nd year (3rd semester) of the B.E. EEE programme, completing the degree in 3 years instead of 4. This saves one year of time and fees. The total fees for lateral entry (general) are Rs. 4,15,000 vs. Rs. 5,45,000 for regular B.E. EEE (general, 8 semesters + admission fee), making lateral entry significantly more cost-effective.
Ques. Which diploma branches are eligible for B.E. Lateral Entry (EEE) at SCSMV?
Ans. Diploma holders in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and related engineering branches are generally eligible for B.E. Lateral Entry (EEE) at SCSMV. Candidates should verify specific branch eligibility with the university at the time of application.
