Ques. In which engineering disciplines can I pursue a Ph.D. at SIMATS?
Ans. SIMATS Engineering offers Ph.D. programs across all major engineering disciplines including Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and related science disciplines (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics). The availability of a research supervisor in your chosen area is a key factor in admission.
Ques. Is GATE mandatory for Ph.D. (Engineering) admission at SIMATS?
Ans. No, GATE is not mandatory but is strongly preferred. Candidates with valid GATE or CSIR-NET scores are given preference in admissions and may be exempted from the university's own entrance test (SUCET). Candidates without GATE/CSIR-NET must qualify the SUCET entrance test conducted by SIMATS.
Ques. What is the total fee for Ph.D. in Engineering at SIMATS?
