Ques. Is UGC NET or CSIR NET required for Ph.D. admission at SIMATS?
Ans. UGC NET or CSIR NET is not mandatory for Ph.D. admission at SIMATS. The university conducts its own entrance examination. However, candidates who have qualified UGC NET/CSIR NET with JRF may be given preference or exemption from the institutional entrance test, as per UGC regulations. Qualifying JRF also makes you eligible for a monthly stipend of Rs. 31,000-35,000 during your Ph.D., which significantly offsets the already affordable fee structure.
