PU BBA FAQs
Ques. Is BBA (Financial Technologies) at Poornima University different from a regular BBA? What extra skills will I gain?
Ans. Yes, BBA (Financial Technologies) is distinctly different from a general BBA. While a regular BBA covers standard business subjects like marketing, HR, and operations, this specialisation integrates fintech-specific subjects such as digital payments systems, blockchain technology, AI applications in finance, financial analytics, and digital banking. Graduates are specifically prepared for roles in the fintech industry such as fintech analyst, digital banking specialist, and financial consultant, which are in high demand given India's rapidly growing digital finance ecosystem. Students who want to work in companies like Paytm, Razorpay, PhonePe, or traditional banks undergoing digital transformation will find this programme more relevant than a general BBA.
Ques. What is the actual fee I will pay per year, and are there any hidden charges?
Ans. The annual programme fee is Rs. 1,20,000, which includes Tuition Fee (Rs. 78,750), Development Fee (Rs. 26,250), and Administrative Fee (Rs. 15,000). Additionally, a one-time non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs. 1,500 is payable at the time of admission, and Rs. 2,500 as Alumni and Convocation Fee is payable in the final year. The total academic fee for the 3-year programme comes to Rs. 3,64,000. Hostel is optional and costs Rs. 1,05,000 to Rs. 1,40,000 per year depending on room type. The fee is payable in 4 instalments per year, making it manageable for most families.
Ques. I scored 78% in Class 12. What scholarship will I get, and will it continue in subsequent years?
Ans. With 78% in Class 12, you fall in the 75% to 84.99% bracket under the Shanti Education Society (SES) Scholarship. Depending on the category assigned at the time of admission, you could receive 25%, 15%, or 5% scholarship on the Tuition Fee (Rs. 78,750 per year). For example, a 25% scholarship would reduce your tuition fee by Rs. 19,688 per year. However, scholarship continuation in Year 2 and Year 3 depends on your CGPA in the previous year's theory papers. If you have any backlog in any paper, the scholarship is permanently discontinued and you will have to pay the full fee for the remaining years without any scholarship benefit. It is important to maintain a clean academic record to retain the scholarship benefit.
Ques. Does Poornima University require any entrance exam for BBA (Financial Technologies) admission? Can I apply directly after my Class 12 results?
Ans. No entrance exam is required for BBA (Financial Technologies) admission at Poornima University. Admission is purely merit-based on your Class 12 aggregate marks. You can apply online at poornima.edu.in by paying the Rs. 1,500 registration fee, and your admission will be processed based on your 12th marks. You do not need to wait for CUET UG or any other entrance exam result. However, if you are applying before your Class 12 results are declared, you can still register and submit your marksheet once results are out. The admission process is straightforward and can be completed online without visiting the campus initially.
Ques. What kind of jobs can I get after completing BBA (Financial Technologies) from Poornima University? What is the average salary?
Ans. Graduates of BBA (Financial Technologies) can pursue roles such as Fintech Analyst, Digital Banking Specialist, Financial Consultant, Market Analyst, Banking and Financial Services Executive, and Operations Manager in fintech companies, banks, NBFCs, and financial advisory firms. Based on student reviews and placement data from Poornima University's BBA programme, the average placement package ranges from Rs. 3.5 to Rs. 4 LPA for entry-level roles, with some students securing packages up to Rs. 6-8 LPA in fintech-specific roles depending on skills and internship experience. Companies like Tata, Infosys, Deloitte, and regional fintech firms have recruited from the campus. Students who proactively pursue internships from Year 2 and build additional certifications in areas like financial modelling, Python for finance, or blockchain tend to secure better packages.
Ques. Is the 75% attendance rule strictly enforced? What happens if I miss classes?
Ans. Yes, the 75% attendance requirement is strictly enforced at Poornima University. If a student's attendance falls below 75% in any subject, they may be detained from appearing in the end-semester examination for that subject, which can result in a backlog. A backlog not only affects your academic progress but also leads to permanent discontinuation of the SES Scholarship, meaning you will have to pay the full tuition fee for all remaining years without any scholarship benefit. Students are advised to track their attendance regularly through the university's portal. Medical emergencies or genuine reasons may be considered by the administration on a case-by-case basis, but there is no guaranteed exemption from the attendance rule.
