Amity Jaipur PhD FST Admission 2026
Admissions to the Ph.D. (Food Science and Technology) Part Time program at Amity University Jaipur are conducted twice a year for January and July sessions. Applications for the July 2026 session are currently open (April to June 2026). Candidates must apply online, appear for the Amity PhD Entrance Test (APET), and qualify an interview by the Faculty Research Committee (FRC). Candidates holding valid UGC-NET/CSIR-NET JRF, GATE, DST-INSPIRE, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, or equivalent national fellowships are exempted from APET and need to appear for the interview only.

Note: GATE (Life Sciences / Biotechnology), UGC-NET (Life Sciences / Food Technology), CSIR-NET (Life Sciences), and ICAR-AICE-JRF are accepted for APET exemption for this program.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Master's degree (M.Sc. / M.Tech.) in Food Technology, Food Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled/EWS candidates are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks requirement as per UGC Regulations 2022.
- Direct admission to Part Time PhD based on a 4-year Bachelor's degree is not permitted; a Master's degree is mandatory for Part Time mode.
Admission Process:
- Apply online at www.amity.edu/phd by uploading required documents (marksheets, passport photo, preliminary research idea of up to 1,000 words, and Employment Verification Certificate).
- Pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1,500 online.
- Appear for the Amity PhD Entrance Test (APET) - 90 minutes, 100 MCQs (50 General + 50 Subject-specific), no negative marking. Candidates with valid national fellowships (UGC/CSIR-NET JRF, GATE, DST-INSPIRE, ICMR-JRF, DBT-JRF, etc.) are exempted.
- Qualify the Interview conducted by the Faculty Research Committee (FRC) - 30 marks.
- Selection is based on APET score, interview performance, proposed research idea, and academic record.
- Selected candidates must submit an NOC from their employer at the time of joining.
- An External Co-Guide from the candidate's organization is required; the Co-Guide's profile must be approved by the university.
