Amity Jaipur PhD Chemical Eng Admission 2026
Amity University Jaipur accepts Ph.D. applications twice a year for January and July sessions. The selection process involves the Amity PhD Entrance Test (APET) - a 90-minute, 100-mark MCQ test - followed by an interview by the Faculty Research Committee (FRC). Candidates with qualifying national-level exam scores (GATE CH, UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, etc.) are directly called for the interview. For the July 2026 session, admissions are currently open.

Note: Candidates with valid GATE (CH)/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET scores in the relevant field are exempted from APET. Validity of the score as per the certificate is considered.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Master's degree (M.Tech/M.E. in Chemical Engineering or related field) from a recognised university with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA).
- Alternatively, a 4-year B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with minimum 75% marks is also eligible for direct full-time PhD admission.
- SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled/EWS candidates get a relaxation of 5% marks as per UGC regulations 2022.
Admission Process:
- Fill and submit the online application form at amity.edu/phd along with required documents and pay Rs. 1,500 application fee.
- Upload scanned copies of Class X marksheet, post-graduation marksheets, passport-size photograph, and a Preliminary Research Idea (max 1,000 words).
- Shortlisted candidates are allotted a PET date via the admission microsite.
- Appear in APET (100 MCQs, 90 minutes) - Section 1: General Aptitude (50 marks), Section 2: Chemical Engineering subject-specific (50 marks). Candidates with valid national exam scores skip APET.
- Qualified candidates appear for an Interview by the Faculty Research Committee (FRC) - 30 marks.
- Selected candidates receive an admission letter on the microsite within 2 days of selection.
- Pay fees and complete registration/orientation as per the schedule.
