GITAM University Bengaluru B.Tech {Lateral} Electronics & Communication Engineering: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. The total fee for B.Tech (Lateral) Electronics & Communication Engineering at GITAM Bengaluru is INR 6,63,000 for the three-year programme, at INR 2,21,000 per year. A 3% discount applies if the first-year fee is paid in full as a lump sum. Fees may increase by 5-8% annually from Year 2. Hostel charges are separate; verify at gitam.edu.

Ans. Candidates must hold a diploma in Engineering or Technology from a recognised polytechnic with a minimum aggregate of 50 percent marks. A valid Karnataka DCET, AP/TS ECET, or GAT score is required. Karnataka DCET qualified students are admitted through KEA counselling.

Ans. B.Tech Lateral Entry at GITAM Bengaluru is a three-year full-time programme equivalent to the second, third, and fourth years of a regular B.Tech. Diploma holders enter the second year directly after qualifying Karnataka DCET or GAT and completing counselling/admission formalities.
