NLU Delhi BALLB {Hons.} : Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Admission to National Law University (NLU) Delhi is based exclusively on the All India Law Entrance Exam (AILET), which is assessed out of 150 marks. Each year, around 80 students are admitted based on their exam performance. The university has a faculty-to-student ratio ranging from 1:6 to 1:12, ensuring personalized attention, with 120 faculty members for approximately 600 BALLB students. The course is structured into two semesters per year, each involving mid-semester exams, projects, vivas, and end-semester exams.

A cumulative 50% is required to pass each subject. The total course fee is Rs. 6.35 Lakhs, with Rs. 1.33 Lakhs for the first year and Rs. 1.26 Lakhs for the remaining years, excluding hostel charges. Various educational loans and government scholarships are available to assist students financially. Despite a 100% placement rate in 2019, recent years have seen lower placement rates, with 34% in 2023. Notable recruiters include Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Trilegal, and Linklaters Singapore.

Internship opportunities are abundant but often unpaid, with stipends ranging from 4k-10k INR. Scholarships and financial aids are offered, focusing on students with financial needs and merit. The MMVY scholarship from the MP Government and five scholarships from the Delhi government for ST/SC students cover tuition and boarding fees. NLU Delhi lists 13 scholarships on its website, including merit-based and need-cum-merit scholarships. The first-year tuition fee totals approximately INR 2,80,000, which includes various fees and is subject to a 5-10% yearly increment.
