Ambedkar University Delhi MA: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Back in 2013, the fee structure for MA Sociology at AUD (Ambedkar University Delhi) was around INR 26,000/ per semester, but there was a lot of support in place. In my case, as a person with disability, I received a schlorshapi, so in a way I didn't really end up paying much out of my own pocket. There was also merit based scholarship awarded every semester ( I don't remember the exact details now), but it used to be roughly in the range of INR 7000/-8000/. Beyond the fee part, the university was genuinely kind in the way it supported students. Even things like reading materials didn't become a burden as most of the time, professors would share or hand over reading, and I'd often get xerox/photocopy support as well. There was also a dedicated student support cell where you could put in requests and systems were in place to help. Also, because the university couldn't provide me a hostel, I used to commute mostly by metro and I recieved a conveyance support for that as well. what I really want to stress upon is this; during my tenure, Ambedkar University felt deeply humane. The faculty was close-knit, they believed in students welfare and they genuinely rallied behind studenting ensuring we had the environment and support needed to thrive. For me, the university tru;y stood for equal opportunity in education, regardless of which social or economic background you came from.

They take semester wise fee for all the students they take 38thousand for 1 semester But for the Category student sc and st they take only the Tution fee that is 500 per semester Every semester is about 4-5 months long

1. My per semester fees is 32000 for MA Economics which I'm right now availing so my yearly fees is 64000 including tution fees , registration fees , development fees etc. 2. My batchmates from SC category are taking benefits and there semester fees is just 500 rupees and yearly fees is only Rs. 1000 3. As of now there is fee waiver facility but no scholarship as such.

There is a financial need-based scholarship. If your guardian's annual income is less than six lakhs you get a partial fee waiver but if it is less than 300000 you will get a full fee waiver. You will be charged 5,500 as a caution deposit plus admission fees.

Considering the course, the fees are quite high. This is not a professional course yet you are shelling out 1 Lac for this course. Though college provides scholarships to meritorious students and financial assistance to the students who are not financially well off.

This laregly depends on each student individually as students from diverse backgrounds come each year to AUD. Each student who is among the top 6 academically in his/her class is provided with an academic scholarship of minimum Rs. 5000/- and ranging to Rs 8000/- depending on how the student is performing. The university offers a form of financial assistance known as 'Fee Waiver" for students who are in need of the same and apply for it. Jobs on campus are provided to research scholars on the basis of their academic performance and approval from the individual professors and administration. On average, the fees were usually 23,00 rupees per quarter.

As it is a govt. University the fees was around 25,000 for each semester which is very less for a master's programme. One has to score more than 85 percent to get the scholarship provided by the University.

The college offers a fee waiver for those who come under EWS category and disabled category. Apart from that students who are the top ten in their class get a scholarship per semester and there is also the option of accessing funds from the Students Welfare Fund if the need arises.

Yes, Aud faculty also provided scholarship based on income criteria and rank based. The eligibility for fees compensation or any scholarship fill their form according to faculty procedure and documents etc.

I did not avail any loan, while I got the scholarship to score high in a semester, the amount was around 10000 rupee.
