Admission to Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences (AITS) is based on the ECET entrance exam for diploma students wishing to pursue a B.Tech degree. The admission process includes web counseling and certificate verification, ensuring merit-based selection. Financial assistance and concessions are available for students from economically challenged backgrounds, with government schemes like Jagananna Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena covering up to 70% of tuition fees. The annual tuition fee for B.Tech is approximately ?75,570, with additional building and hostel fees.
For students eligible for state government fee reimbursement, the out-of-pocket fee is reduced to ?25,000, as the government covers ?35,000 of the total ?60,000 annual fee. Payments can be made online or offline through Andhra Bank. The college does not provide direct scholarships, but loans are available through banks. AITS has around 400 faculty members, mostly with master's degrees and some with doctorates. The faculty is known for their supportive and approachable nature, offering practical teaching methods and personalized attention.
However, newer faculty may need further training. The college boasts strong placement records, with 80-90% of students securing jobs, mainly in software roles. In 2018-2019, around 35-40 companies, including TCS, Infosys, and Wipro, visited for placements, offering average salary packages of 3.6-4 LPA, with the highest reaching 10 LPA. Eligible students can participate in placements from the second semester of the third year. Although the college does not directly facilitate internships, students can secure them through visiting companies, often with stipends.
Campus placements remain robust, with nearly 1,000 students placed in software companies in 2021.
