Academic Requirements

• Applicants require a minimum of an upper second-class UK honours degree in biomedical sciences, life sciences or related subject with a genetics component, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. 
• 60%–69% or CGPA 6.5–7.49 (out of 10) equivalent to UK 2:1 
• Intercalating or graduate medical/dental/veterinarian applicants or those with substantial relevant work-based experience are encouraged to apply and will be considered on an individual basis. Please list the pathway you are applying for in your application. 
• A short interview may be undertaken as part of the application process.
• This programme accepts applications from medical, dental and veterinary students who wish to intercalate their studies.

English Proficiency Score

• IELTS score of 6.5 or above with no less than 6.0 in each category
• TOEFLiBT 90 overall with Component scores of listening 17, reading 18, speaking 20, writing 18
• PTE 59 overall with 59 in all four components
• Duolingo 120 overall with 105 in each component
• Indian School Certificate (year 12) when awarded by CISCE or All India Senior School Certificate Examination (also known as Delhi Senior School Certificate Examination) when awarded by CBSE- 70%
• For applicants from Punjab, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Haryana the percentage required is 75%
• Indian State Board Standard XII examinations - when awarded by State boards - 80%
• For applicants from Punjab, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Haryana the percentage required is 85%

Documents Required

• Evidence of qualifications (degree certificates or transcripts), with translations if not in English, to show that you meet, or expect to meet the entry requirements
• Any English language qualification you have (for example, IELTS or PTE Academic).
• Your curriculum vitae or resume, including details of relevant professional/voluntary experience, professional registration/s and visa status for overseas workers
• A personal statement of approximately 250-400 words about the reasons for your interest in the course and outlining the nature of previous and current related experience. You can write this into the online application form, or include it as a separate document.
• proof of sponsorship, if applicable.
• Two references, at least one of which must be from an academic who has taught you. (if required)
• A copy of the information page of your current passport (inform the university immediately if you get a new passport at any time before you come to the UK to study).
• A copy of any previous or current UK visa.

Evidence of finances

Most students must prove they have enough money to support their UK studies. You will need a year of tuition fees (these will be on your CAS) plus living costs (£10,224) held in a bank account for 28 continuous days.
