  • The difficulty level of the Global MBA is pretty easy. It is not at all difficult. The assignments are usually easy but can be tricky and tough if you keep procrastinating and do them towards the deadline. You can also fail an assignment if you start doing it near the deadline because the quality of your work will be affected. So start early to avoid stress and you'll be good to go.
  • The curriculum is 90% theoretical. Only the summer project is practical, in which a student is asked to do either an internship or part-time or voluntary work in order to write the assignment.
  • The most positive aspect was that I was exposed to the English and European ways of conducting business and starting a company in the UK and Europe.
  • The most negative aspect of my course was that at all times while sitting in the class, it felt that I was revising 11th and 12th-grade business studies taught in India. The curriculum isn't something which is exclusive (as it should be because it is an MBA).
  • In a day you can expect to have 2 classes. Each class can last for 3 hours. So for instance, the first class of the day will start at 10 am and will go on till 1 pm. From 1 pm till 2 pm you will have a lunch break. Then finally the 2nd class begins at 2 pm and goes on till 5 pm.
  • Average number of students in my class is 250.
  • About 90% - 95% of the total students in my class were Indian students (mostly from south India)

Fees

  • Tuition fee: £17,000
  • Breakdown of the fee payment:
    • Paid £8,500 (50% of £17,000) after receiving an unconditional offer letter.
    • Paid the rest of the £8,500 after the course start date in 3 equal installments. Each installment was 2 months apart from the other. For example: Paid £2,833 in February, April, and May.
  • Monthly Expenses:
    • Hostel/Student Accommodation: £10,000 per year (approx.): The student accommodation fee is NOT included in the overall fee for the course. This is a separate expense that was borne by me. The fee for the student accommodation that I paid was on the higher side. You can get an independent/shared room for much less.
    • Groceries: I spent £500-£800 monthly on groceries (can even go till £1,000). This can vary according to a person's lifestyle preferences. My grocery expenses were on the higher side but normally it would be around £500 for most people.
    • Mobile plans: I paid £12 per month for 60 GB internet, unlimited calls, and unlimited social media surfing (I bought a VOXI sim). Honestly, 60 GB of internet is a lot. You won't be needing that much data from your mobile carrier since everywhere you go you'll find free wifi. So you can buy a cheaper plan as well.
    • Shopping/Eating out: Eating at restaurants/fast food chains will cost you between £15 and £50 per person depending on the restaurant. There are many cheap eat-out options available in or near Leicester city center.
  • Suggestions on managing expenses:
    • You can also save some money by using the Hoppin Bus service, which goes around Leicester City Centre free of charge during office hours on weekdays. Walking around the city is also easy, as Leicester is not a big city like Manchester, plus the weather conditions support walking around the city.
    • Always ask for student discounts at stores (and carry your student ID with you at all times in order to avail any available offers). For instance: My salon, in Leicester city centre, offered 10% student discounts, but you had to show them your student id to avail the offer.

  • The course was quite on the easier side. It was a mix of both theoretical and practical.
  • The most positive aspect was the block teaching pattern - they completed one module fully before going to another. It gave a good amount of time and clarity to master the topics taught as a part of the course.
  • The negative aspect was that all the modules were structured in a generalistic pattern. There was no in-depth teaching in any module.
  • A maximum of 2 classes are scheduled in a day. Each class is 2 hours long.
  • No, they do not provide any assistance as such.

Fees

  • As I was on an exchange programme and got a scholarship, I paid only 6000 pounds for my course. But in my knowledge, the full-time course costs around 17000 pounds. We had to pay the 6000 pounds in 2 instalments.
  • There were no hostel fees as the student can live to rent out an accommodation/house separately.
  • My Monthly expense: Rent - 500 pounds, Food - 200 pounds, Transportation - 0 as I used to live right next to the university, Other Expenses - 200-300 pounds

  • The entire course was an amalgamation of theory as well as practical. There were different teaching techniques used which provided students with a very dynamic and practical learning environment.
  • Usage of case studies and case study assignment to explain theoretical concepts was provided insights into the real dynamic and moving business world and how one could apply theoretical concepts in real business scenarios to improve the business.
  • There were seminars in which the teacher did a one on one with every student to learn about their approach and guide them according and I think that was very useful and insightful.
  • The batch consisted of students from across the world with people of different ethnicities gathered to learn and work together in team projects and presentations. A large part of the batch consisted of students from the Middle East and south east Asia so there were a lot of Turkish, Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Afghani students. There were also a lot of students from China and Korea as well. The faculty to student ratio was 1:10 , the classes and seminars were designed in such a way that each student was paid attention to and given the right amount of support.

Fees

  • The entire course cost me around 25 lakhs including the tuition fee, lodging, personal expenses, transportation and everything else. The payment was semester wise.
  • Monthly expenses roughly rounded up to 1000- 1200 pounds, renting an apartment cost around 120 pounds per week. One could cover their living expenses by working part time in some local shops.

  • It was a really difficult course with a strong curriculum. It was a strong mix of both practical and theoretical classes. It contains practical sessions, seminar classes, lecture classes, worksheet classes, small group sessions, large group sessions etc. They also provide academic helps for achieving good scores which is highly beneficial for international students who are new to UK educational system.
  • The negative aspect is that my course had a entirely new pattern of exams which other people of my degree level experience in PHD.
  • The positive aspect is the the University and faculty is ready to prepare us to face all of this. They provide all the help and support to International students.
  • This course have both online and offline classes, mainly offline classes. Typical there is 3-5 days a week with 1 to 4 module a day. Each module is of 1 hour. The University timing is 9am to 5pm.
  • The University have a special help desk to help students find part time jobs during the course period and they also help in placements after the course
  • My course has the least number of students because it is difficult to get in. In my batch there were 36 students and more than half of them were Indians. Typically this course have less than 40 students every year that's what makes this course special from rest of the courses provided by University which usually have 150 to 300 students per class. Almost half of the students in the University are Indians.

Fees

  • Tuition fee: £16800 (International students) & £8400 (Home students). 50% of fees is paid before enrollment and rest of the 50% fees is paid after enrollment (we can pay that as two installments)
  • Living expense for a year: £9207 (For outer London)
  • Amount to be shown in account: Balance fees (£8400) + Living expense ( £9207)
  • NHS Insurance: £750 ( According to year 2022)
  • Visa fee: £675 ( According to year 2022)
  • Medical charges: £27
  • Estimate on monthly expenses: Rent- £400, Transportation- £200, Others- £250

  • The curriculum was fantastic at the same time difficult. We had 9 modules and we needed to pass all of them with 50% marks. It was a mix of theory and practical knowledge.
  • The only negative part was the breaks in between lectures. I had 4 class in 2 days in a week. You need to do part time work to survive there. Each lecture was for 3 hours and in between there was a 1 hour break.
  • You can ask the university for networks to find jobs but faculty can't help you with jobs. You can only work part time when you are going to classes.

Fees

  • I paid 17,000 pounds in total. I got 2000 pounds worth of scholarship.
  • My course was for 15 months. My course MBA didn't had any semesters, so I paid the full amount. They made me pay 11,000 pounds in tbe beginning and the remaining 6000 pounds after 3 months. Global MBA is for 15 months and then you get 4 months to get a job. You can get different payment plans also and I don't have much information about it.

It was really good as I got a very deep overall exposure to the MBA fields. We also got industrial exposure as our final dissertation was one where we had to work with an actual company and use their actual data.

There is a variety of academic modules and some practical ones too and it covers important aspects of the film as an academic study. The practical modules are my favourite as the lecturers are helpful and experienced in their respective fields and so are knowledgeable, which aids the learning of the course.

Fees

Course fees are 9250 a year payable from loans by most students. The accommodation also incurs charges which for me works out as 90 per week and is paid in several lump sums, the most recent one having been 1350.
