- Master of Science in Sustainable Development in Practice at the University of The West of England is a 1-year program.
- It is an on-campus program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
- In this program, students get to work on live briefs and real-world projects and have invaluable access to the organizations and case studies.
- The core modules of the program include:
- Sustainable Development: Principles and Practice
- Creating Sustainable Behaviour Change
- The Sustainable Organisation: Vision into Practice
- Communications Campaigns: Creative Approaches and Tools
- Work-Based Learning in Sustainability and Environmental Management
- This course is assessed via a combination of coursework and presentations.
- For this program, students will have access to:
- the Bolland Library, 24 hours a day, and all our other specialist libraries
- an extensive range of computer suites, some open 24 hours a day
- resources for photography, digital imaging, filming, and sound recording
- specialist computing workshops and labs
- remote study options, online discussions, and resources via Blackboard, the e-learning tool.
- This course is accredited by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students require an honours degree of 2.2 or above from a recognized university.
- Applicants who do not meet the normal entry requirement, but who do have relevant professional experience or qualifications are eligible to apply for the program.
Indian Students Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Students have to complete a 4-year undergraduate degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Students must complete a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate – Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB: English Language with 70%. This qualification must have been completed within the last three years.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

- Personal Statement - This is an essay or any written statement written by the student while applying in a minimum of 250 words.
- English Language Requirement - This shows the test score of English Proficiency Exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, etc.
