  • Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.
  • It is an on-campus, honours program offered on a full-time basis.
  • This applied and future-focused course balances knowledge and skills in accounting with an applied understanding of finance, giving access to a wide range of financial careers.
  • Students will also gain some exemptions from professional accounting examinations.
  • The program will provide students with the key knowledge and skills to access a wide range of career opportunities, as well as a variety of specialist options.
  • Based in the Bristol Business School, students will benefit from purpose-built facilities, including interactive learning rooms and spaces for individual and group study. 
  • Students can develop their entrepreneurial skills though the University enterprise competitions and Grand Challenge projects.
  • This course shares a first year with our BSc(Hons) Accounting and BA(Hons) Accounting and Management, with full transferability between courses at the end of the first year.
  • This course is accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
  • The Business School offers technology-enabled classrooms and individual and group study learning spaces as well as bookable conference rooms.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • UCAS Tariff points: 112
  • GCSE: Grade C/4 in English Literature or Language and Mathematics, or equivalent. 

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:

  • Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
  • Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
  • Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
