Academic Requirements

An upper second-class honours degree or an international equivalent (GPA of 6/10 or higher or 60%) in Biological Sciences, Health Science, or Medicine (including Veterinary and Dental Qualifications).

Students typically do a literature review for their dissertation, but can choose an optional lab-based project. Bench fees apply for those doing the research unit CSSBM2001 in Bristol for 6-8 weeks. This must be arranged with a supervisor, and availability of lab projects isn't guaranteed. Contact the admissions team for more details.

Admissions Requirement

University will also consider your application if your final overall achieved grade is lower than the programme's entry requirements, if you have at least one of the following:

• evidence of relevant work experience such as a biomedical/clinical scientist, working in cell biology labs, biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, professional experience in research and development or professional experience in clinical trials.
• a relevant postgraduate qualification in Biological Sciences, Health Science, or Medicine (including Veterinary and Dental Qualifications).
