Academic Requirements

• The applicant must have an upper second-class honours degree in a relevant subject or an equivalent qualification (minimum 60% or above), and either have completed or be completing a master's qualification from a UK university (or equivalent).
• The master's requirement does not apply to applications made to SWDTP-funded scholarships although commencement of the PhD remains conditional on the completion of the associated master's.
• Applicants without a master's qualification may be considered on an exceptional basis. Aptitude test results such as GMAT and GRE can be submitted as evidence of PhD-level analytical and verbal abilities.

Interview

Interviews may form part of the selection process. If required, interviewees based overseas will normally be interviewed by telephone or Skype, Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

• IELTS 7.0 overall with 6.5 in all skills
• PTE 71 overall with no lower than 67 in all skills
• TOEFL 95 overall with R22, L21, S23, W22
• India (CISCE or CBSE) Standard XII/Senior School Certificate Examination- 80% in English
• India (Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal state boards)- 95% in English
