- Course (As it was just theoretical)
King's College London was always my dream college. At first, my application was rejected, but then all of a sudden I got a mail saying I was acknowledged. I always wanted to go to King's because of variety of courses available there and as I wanted to get into marketing, I decided to pursue International Marketing but what came to my disappointment was that the Course Fee was too high and the course structure was designed in away that there was no practical experience included in the course. However, it was genuinely the best experience of my life. I made new friends, learned so many new things and got an experience of living independently.
Course Curriculum
Honestly, I wasn't completely satisfied with my course syllabus, as it lacked practical experience and was mostly theoretical. However, we appreciated the assignments because they involved a lot of case studies.
Exams
- The only requirement for my course was IELTS - 8.7 - CBSE- 8.6 GPA (10th); CBSE- 95.75% (12th) Delhi University- B.Sc Chemistry 8.9 GPA (UG) - Requirements: Yes, I had to submit a SoP, LoR, and a CV. For the SoP, I would suggest just being yourself. They really appreciate a good, honest SoP that shows who you truly are and how this university will help shape your future. The most important part is to keep it simple, crisp, and to the point.
Placement
Honestly, I didn't use our university's careers portal. Instead, I applied for jobs mainly through LinkedIn, which was very effective for me. The King's career team also provided invaluable assistance by helping me update and improve my CV.
Fees
29,000 pounds
Faculty
King's faculty is amazing. They help you with your assignments, and you can approach them whenever you are stuck.
Campus Life
I didn't join any clubs as I was usually working part-time, but I do regret that now. The clubs and social events at King's are fun and truly enriching, offering a unique exposure. I would definitely suggest joining a club to fully enjoy a great university life.
Hostel
I stayed in a student accommodation named Scape Shoreditch, paying approximately £1,200 per month for a small studio. Honestly, considering central London, this price is pretty decent. However, what I realized while living there is that if you rent an apartment and share it with friends, it will be more spacious and much cheaper.
