Singapore Student Visa Requirements for Indian Students
International students planning to study full-time in Singapore for more than 30 days must obtain a Student Pass. Unlike many countries, Singapore does not issue a separate student visa. The Student Pass is issued by the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and is required for studying at universities such as NUS, NTU, SMU, SIT, and other approved institutions.
The process begins after receiving an admission offer from a Singapore institution. Once admitted, the university will provide instructions for submitting a Student Pass application through the Student's Pass Online Application & Registration (SOLAR) system. After the application is approved, students receive an In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter, which allows them to travel to Singapore and complete the final formalities before collecting their Student Pass.
