My experience as a PGDM student at Shanti Business School

I chose Shanti Business School because of its industry-oriented PGDM curiculum, practical learning approach, experienced faculty, and strong focus on skill development. Before taking admission, I also explored a few other business schools but SBS stood out due to its emphasis on case studies, corporate interactions. I appeared for the personal interview, and the admissions team guided me well throughout the process. I also found the faculty and staff supportive in answering queries. Overall, I felt that SBS offered a good balance of academics, industry exposure which made it the right choice for my management education.

The course is relevant to current industry requirements and covers core management subjects along with practical learning. The curriculum helps students build analytical, communication and leadership skills required in the coorporate world.Overall, the curriculum is comprehensive and prepared students for real-world business challenges and future career opportunities.

SBS provides SIP opportunities as an important part of the PGDM curriculum. Students generally undertake internships after completing the first year, where they gain practical exposure to real business environments. Internship roles are offered in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Business Analytics, Operations and Supply Chain Management. Stipends vary depending on the company and role, with many organizations offering performance-based or fixed monthly stipends.

The placement opportunities at SBS are good with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements in the year of the PGDM program after completing their summer internships. The institute has also reported 100% placement.

The PGDM fee at SBS is 1,80,000 per semester making the total tution fee approxximately 7,20,000 for the 2 year program (excluding other hostel and personal expenses). For my batch fee structure has remained consistent .

My overall campus experience at SBS has been positive. The campus offers a friendly and professional environment that enourages both academic and personal growth. The annual management and cultural events are usually organized during the academic year and provide opportunities for students to showcase their creativity, leadership and teamwork.

The hostel facilities at SBS are comfortable and suitable for students coming from different cities. The rooms are well-maintained and include essential amenities such as bed, study table, chair , wardrobe, Wi-Fi, and attached washrooms. The hostel provides a safe and disciplined environment with security and basic housekeeping services. The mess offers vegeterian meals with a fixed weekly menu covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The faculty members are supportive. They encourage classroom participation through case studies, presentations, projects and practical discussions, making the learning experience engaging and providing real-world business exposure.

The admission process at SBS was smooth and well-organized. In my case, I appeared for a Personal Interview after meeting the eligibility criteria. The interview mainly focused on my educational background, reasons for pusuing a PGDM, career goals, strengths and weakness, and current affairs. The panel was friendly and encouraged me to express my thoughts confidently.

Campus life at SBS is engaging, and students usually unwind by spending time with friends in the cafeteria, common area, or participating in club activities after classes. The library, cafeteria, and other campus facilities remain open during academic hours, while hostels and campus entry/exit follow the timings prescribed by the institute for students' safety. The campus also has a gym and recreational spaces that students use to maintain a healthy routine.
