Remarks
The infrastructure is good. The management can be better. The placement cell can be better. The faculty can be more involved. Internships can be arranged by the college for students. Application based teaching can be done more.
Course Curriculum Overview
The portions are slightly out dated. But the basics are covered. We have 8 semesters spanning 4 yeas i.e., 2 semesters per years. We have 6 theory subjects each semester and 2-3 practicals. The makes are awarded in grades. And the pass percentage is 50/100
Placement Experience
Yes our college provided placement opportunities but not internships. We had a placement cell which was used to bring companies for campus placements and also to arrange placement training programs for the students.
College Events
In our college we celebrated annual day, and we had national level technical symposium for each department every year in which we organised various techinical and non technical events which was attended by students of other colleges
Fee Structure And Facilities
Yes it was expensive. But not as in other states because Anna University has a fixed tuition fee for all the affiliated colleges in Tamilnadu. The extra fees was for transportation or hostel charges. Which when added made the fees to be expensive
Fees and Financial Aid
The college had a bank in which they provided loans for students who met their eligibility criteria. There were scholarship options for students who belonged to backward classes as per the government stipulations
Campus Life
We had a good extracurricular program including social clubs such as the NSS and red cross. A wide range of sport teams were in the college. The lab infrastructures are good for mechanical engineering they have all the necessary equipments for practicals
Alumni/Alumna
There is a alumni network in our college which we can make use to get advice about the things we want to do or careers we want to pursue the senior students are ok when it comes to helping but not great and all and you have to know them to get help from them or else it is a bit tough
Admission
I got admission throught Anna University Counselling. Where students are scheduled for admission based on Thier cut off which is an addition of their marks in three main subjects physics, chemistry and maths. We can select college and desired stream of engineering there.
Faculty
The faculty were good. They were willing to help students but some of them weren't as good as the others. The faculty followed up on tests and assignments regularly. They were all qualified according to Anna University standards
