- Not all the floors are washroom-equipped.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in Biotechnology since 12th grade, hence I was motivated to pursue it. The curriculum is very much practical based, so it prepares us well for further academic pursuits. The difficulty level for the exams is medium level.
Fees and Financial Aid
The average annual fees for the IIS (Deemed to be University) is Rs 70,000. This excludes the hostel charges. If a student wishes to partake any COSD (Career Oriented Skill Development) programme (of which many choices are available in the univeristy), they would have to pay an additional annual fee (On an average Rs. 6,500). Scholarships are also provided to students on the basis of their academic performance in their 12th standard.
Campus Life
The overall campus life is okayish here, the reason being the small campus. Many annual fests are held, including the annual cultural fest held in the months of February or March, Freshers' Party held in september, Thank you party held in september, Fashion Show held in November/December, Farewell Party in March, Tech Fest, etc. A wide range of books and journals are available in the library, with the books of all the subjects available in the university and much more. They all are easily accessible and at max three books can be issued together for a week. Each classroom is provided with a projector, and all the practical labs are equipped with working instruments. There are various competitions going on in the campus from time to time. There are clubs like Mudra Dance Society, IISU theatrical Club, etc.
Admission
I chose this college over the others because it has a very strong academic image, unlike other private colleges in Jaipur where studies are not taken seriously. There is no entrance exam for my college.
Faculty
The faculty here is mostly encouraging, supporting, passionate about teaching and very approachable. The faculty to student ratio on an average is 1:25. The course curriculum is appropriate and relevant. There are 2 exams per semester for each subject, mid semester exams and end- semester exams.
Night Life
As I do not live near the university, I am unaware about its nightlife. There are two canteens in the IISU campus, one is Pandit Ji's canteen where everything from dosa, chhole bhature, bhelpuri, etc. to icecream, chips, shakes, maggi, coffee, tea is available. Another one is Amul canteen, where Patties, cold coffee, maggi, grilled cheese sandwich, hotdog, burger, pizza, various amul products are available.
