Course Curriculum Overview
The reason to chose this course that It focus on both Rural development and sociology.subjects covered real issues in Rural india and more scope on careers such as NGO's, social work and UPSC.Mix of theory and practical application attracted me into this course it taught basic frameworks useful for Field work.it is Helpful foundation for Master of social work (MSW ) and civil services. I suggested to add more fieldwork based assignments and surveys. Exams are usually spaced out properly which comprises two internals and one semester- end exam.internal exams sometimes feel rushed or sudden.but, the exam difficulty is moderate in nature.
Internships Opportunities
I had an internship opportunity in district collectorate office.it was helped me to understand the district administration, formulation and implementation of policies, functions and job nature of various executives.
Placement Experience
No placement opportunities were offered.but this course provides opportunities to gain experience among grassroot level society and pave way to get placed in NGO's, Government organizations and Departments in collectorate etc. It helps to crack civil services exam easily.

Dr . sumathi mam explained concepts clearly. Dr . kokila mam kind and supported personality. Dr.Radha mam used real life examples in class. ??Most of the exams were of moderate to difficulty level.some theory papers were tough without guidance. ??Pass percentage is 35%. Some may failed due to lack of attendance and clarity of subjects. ??RELEVANCE OF COURSE CURRICULUM: Curriculum matched the rural realities well.it is useful for civil services exam preparation.
