Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum was not so excellent because we had more subjects which was irrelevant for our stream, which made us to write more semester papers, but other than that the courses and subject that were covered was so good in terms core Electrical Engineering principles. The aspect that made me choose this course was simple I got less marks and I opted for CSE but I couldn't get it because my less marks, so I choose EEE which looked better in core Engineerig at the time of my admission. In terms real world applications the curriculum is still lagging we had more thoeratical curriculum than a practical one, which would been more good

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of our college has been increasing from the beginning year, In my first year the total fee I paid including tuition fee, transport and food was around 95000 rupees. But on the later years like the 2nd year I paid around 98000 rupees, in my 3rd year it was 102000 rupees and in my final year it was 106000 rupees. The above fees amount is including tutition fee, transport, food and all other things.

Campus Life

3

My overall experience was decent in my 4 years of college campus life, we had culturals only two times in our 4 years of college life, the first cultural was a simple one but the second was good and we had some fun. But in terms of events, clubs and technical activities it was all good. We had technical sysmposium which was my favourite and we had many many clubs and each club conducted activities for the students, we had a wide range of books and journals in our library with good environment to study inside the library and the library was one of the highlights of my college, the classrooms had smart boards for teaching other than that it was all but a normal class. C

Admission

The reason for choosing this college was that I applied for colleges like Rajalakshmi, SA, Panimalar and RMK for CSE stream but because of my low cut-off in 12th I couldn't get a seat at these college without donation, even at my college I could not get a seat for CSE, so I choose EEE in my college solely for two reasons the fees structure was so less comparatively to other colleges for EEE and it was near for me reach from my house. The admission process of my college is simple if your cut-off is above 180 you could easily get any stream you want, but below that you need to pay donation and extra fee for your interested stream or course. So I had no other option but to choose EEE because of my less marks and the overall admission process was a smooth and good experience.

Faculty

4

The faculties were all so educated and professional and had a great knowledge in their respective subjects or course. The course structure of my dept(EEE) was in the 1st year we started from the basics and in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year we slowly headed into the concept of Electrical Engineering with more labs and simulation labs included. The faculty to student ratio would be 1:10 or 1:15 which was pretty good. The faculty student relationship was so good that we always approached them in tough situations and they were supportive and helpful in terms of academics and also career wise. One faculty that I liked the most was MR.Rajesh who taught us from my 2nd year and the reason is that he was so friendly and easy to approach with a good care on the students about their academics and career. The faculty that I disliked the most was my C programming staff, I don't even remeber her name she left the college in our mid semester and the reason I disliked her is that she always had a harsh ton towars the students irrespective of the situation. So for each semester we had 3 internls, 2 model exam and the semester exam in the 1st year, later we had 3 internals, 1 model and end semester exam in my 2nd year and upt 5th semester. Later after 5th semester we had 2 internals and 2 unit test inbetween them and end semester exam. The marking schemes were simple around 50% and the marking were spot on without any consolidation or such.

Night Life

4

I was a day scholar so I have never really been in night times in the college campus, we had two cafeterias which was good hangout spot and but at the start we only had 1 cafeteria where the spot was so small and all, but after the construction of the second cafeteria we had a good place to hangout with friends. Our college library was an excellent one with a great infrastrcuture and lots of books and journal. As for as hostel timings I have no idea as I am a day scholar. The places we hangout the most inside the college was the cafeteria, college ground under the trees and labs. Outside the college there was nothing to hangout for another 10km or so and we were not even allowed outside the college during our college times. But the locality is safe in and around.

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
