Course Curriculum Overview

4

CSBS is about computer science and business systems , thats why i choose this course its different from others and it is valuable in current generations. The Curriculum teaches abouts basics of business and economics related ideas and how the management works ,how it useful , how can we use the ideas etc. In my opinion this course need to include the business analytics tools like power BI etc . The teachers need to improve the lectures about how can the computer or AI field effects or improve in the field of business. If the exam conducting frequency is 1 per month then the study will improve. There is 4 exam conducting here , if we conduct 1 exam per month then we get time to teach and study . In JCT the CIA exam portion is 2 and half units.and there is 4 month class with holidays. If we can conclude 2 and half units per month we can finish CIA in first month and CIA2 in second month and model exam in Third month, after that we can do revisions.but the lack of coordination the syllabus won't complete before exam because of this the students rush and fail .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for my course CSBS is exactly 105000 in my college. As for me i came here by management quota so because of my percentage in 12th and I'm single parent they reduced my fee to 85000 ,now I'm currently paying 85000 per year. As for my classmates some are scholarship and some are normal ,their fee is like 95000 and scholarship amounts varies for each individuals. They provide better financial aid. Some are come here by merits too,and some are sports quota.

Campus Life

4

In JCT the JFINAGLES is the festival that held during may i guess. And cultural's is the fest held on march it was huge and enjoyable. The library in JCT is not that good it doesn't have that much book it only have some of the books that can be useful for our syllabus. The facilities in classrooms are poor , some classrooms doesn't have projector and the lab they provide is the worst ,it doesn't have working computer or anything and not a good chairs to sit. The sports was good compare to others . In this collage they conduct hakathon, science fest, quiz programs, photography challenges etc . There is active NSS group they provide good contribution to society.

Admission

I applied some college like christ college in Thrissur and St.thomas college in Thrissur, but they didn't reject me. Actually my plans are different my friends all went outside kerala so obviously i thought of going outside kerala and i informed my family. There is cousin of mine studying in JCT Engineering college with course of food technology then he told me about the collage, so i rejected those college i applied because my cousin is here as my local guardian. The admission process was very straight forward, in my case i booked seat by management using my advance 10000 later i got the seat and they reduced this amount from actual fee . I don't know anything about cuttoff of exams. Here they accept KEEM , JEE , TNEA exams . In my case i got 90 percentage in 12th and my cut-off was 180 in 200 so i got seat easily. The overall admission experience was good.

Faculty

3

The no of faculties is less compared to students ,not that much but its not that much problem. The faculties say that "you guys can approach for doubts " but they are not. Not all faculties, some are nice and they are like our friends, they support us with everything and they provide informations. I can't disclose faculties name here but some are good and some are bad. If we talk about exams there is 4 exams like 2 CIA(internals) ,model exam , semester exam . Like i said before ,because of the faculties the syllabus is very slow and fast pace at end and they say study by your own . Because of this some students fail . I don't know the exact no of fails but in CSBS i think 60% fail in single subject. Now the college is autonomous the ratio of failure is drastically reduced .

Interview Experience

4

Actually i didn't get any kind of interview. I think i just booked the seat directly through management. When i went to apply they asked my plus two score , what course u choosing, and will u study better like that , i think the experience is good.

Night Life

5

During day my favourite spot was the place near drinking water near the boys bathroom, everyone hangout there . The next spot was outside the college, there is small bakery around 200m distance from collage ,we often went there in interval for having little snacks, its cool . We won't go to gym ,i think its useless to go there because its just for name . The canteen in collage will be a good hangout spot if they reduce the price on products or snacks . We won't go to library because they are strict . I don't know hostel timings but i think the hostel gate close at 9:00am and 9:30pm Because of the students cut class and hostel and the timing for class is 9:15am and the interval is varies for juniors and seniors because of avoiding any kind of ragging. The college locality is safe to roam in nights because there is so many houses so there will be help if there is problem.

B.tech students will be eligible after they complete their credits before the 3rd year and usually that is the period during which they will be eligible for placements. For integrated M.tech it might be after the 4th year in 5th year, they could get a year for internships which is good for students. This might be considered as my interest in this course. The placement is around 95 percent. My plans after getting the degree is to become a highly skilled person and to get a job in google. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, etc place our campus. There are no such companies that visited and made no offers.

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.
