Course Curriculum Overview
the specific aspect that influenced to choose this course honestly was the low fees structure. we have a lot of experienced faculties who've been working in MNCs/industries earlier and now have been teaching also some of them started their career in this field. we gain some real time knowledge or real world applications but its comparatively lower than expected. teaching methods are still very traditional for most of the subjects in our curriculum but some are made exciting by conducting activities, group discussions, brand awareness, etc.
Internships Opportunities
our college provides no internship opportunities to students even though this is a compulsory criteria to be fulfilled in the 6th semester of our course under Bangalore University. I
Placement Experience
students of the last semester are only eligible for campus placements, there are a good number of companies visiting the college for the same but the percentage of students getting placed are low around 30%. I'm planning to work in big4 followed by MBA after completion of the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
in the opted course (BBA) yearly the tuition fees expected from the students are 90,000/- per annum. however, there are scholarship facilities in our college where they are offered with certain amount of discounts on the total tuition fees only if they have completed their PUC and class 10th from Karnataka. . Higher the percentage/CGPA received, higher is the scholarship provided and the student also have to maintain a CGPA of 7 and more with no backlogs to continue receiving the scholarship from the college end.
Campus Life
all around the year we have a lot of events and festivals celebrated in the college like pongal, onam, ethnic days, student reunions, graduation day, fresher's day, farewell, etc. most of the books and journals available in our college library are outdated and not updated with the latest syllabus. students run different clubs like literary, culinary, bakery, music, dance, yoga, swacch bharat etc which has a huge positive impact on the college as well as the students.
Admission
I had applied for NID ahmedabad as my passion was to learn and establish myself in the field of designing but unfortunately could not continue with it because of it's high fees structure. for being eligible to apply in this college we must have a PUC degree from any school/college with an average percentage.
Faculty
the faculty to student ratio in our college must be 30:500. there are a combination of both good and bad faculties but good ones are more. some faculties are partial towards some students while others are not. anyhow all are equally knowledgeable and give a lot of efforts to come up with the topics tought in the class. in our college for each semester 2 internal exams are conducted along with a pre final before the semester finals start.
Night Life
many gyms are available around this area including cultfit, decathlon, etc. library is located approximately 12kms away in BTM Layout 2nd stage where students can register themselves for daily visits. the best hangout places near college is guru greens, drinkology, KFC, Pizza Hut, Domino's, Ms & Mrs, etc. it's a safe place to roam around at night but preferably most of the shops or stores get their shutters down by 10:30pm and most lights are out by that time.
