Course Curriculum Overview

2

Our curriculum is not that good as they don't have more prcatical learning subjects instead have theoretical subjects and also the subjects taught cover topics which are not in even trend now and the timing of exams is ok. Teaching methods should include weakly seminars with professionals so that we can get insights about what is being taught in industries

Placement Experience

3

After 7th sem, students are told to do an internship in 8th sem. Number of companies is of decent amount here and major recruiter is Sangam industries. I am planning to open a startup more likely as I am getting used to AI and automation. Placement is not that good here as there is no exposure here.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees is 96000 ruppees provided with multiple scholarship schemes like merit, needy, girl. Other than b.tech, BBA has a fees of 1 lac/year and for BA it's 35k only. Sxholarship schemes vary depending upon CGPA scored by stydent in previous year and CGPA is on 9.5 scale

Campus Life

4

My campus life was not that bad as i found a group of good friends with whom i have sometimes bunked calsses for playing games . Technical fest is held on engineer's day and also a cultural fest LA'UNION takes place. Library is well occupied with various books which includes reasearch papers, journals and personality buliding books. Some of my personal favourites are atomic habbits, rich dad poor dad . Well occupied computer labs with updated system. Individual labs for AI and CSE . University level tournaments for various sports take place. There are various clubs like music club , dance club etc.

Admission

I chose this college as I was getting a good amout of scholarship and other colleges fees was whopping high enough. ROI is not that bad here. If anyone want to do aomething new, here they provide T&P cell where we can pitch ourself and get funded too.

Faculty

4

Number of faculty is low as compared to other colleges. Not each faculty is supportive there. Best faculties are Ajay Suwalka Sir, Awanit Kumar Sir according to me as they have taught me and I have learnt industry level skills from them. So, we have 4 exams in an year 2 exams per sem, one is mid sem and other is end sem. Our curriculum is not that good as their are less subjects which deals wih practical learning

Night Life

3

Our college has Canteen, Mess, Basketball Court, Turf and a hangout point with fountain. Safety is sometimes compromised as our college is surrounded by village locality. College timings are worst as for btech it's 9am-4pm. We don't get enough time to do other sort of things which we want to do and the assignments are the worst of all as they only cover copy paste from rach other as they only contains theory.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for summer internship (after 3rd year) from start of 3rd year (5th sem) and for the placements, companies come to the college from 7th semester onwards. Companies like jo Morgan, Deloitte, Flipkart, goldman sachs , PepsiCo ,oracle, bny ,ubs , rippling etc come here for placements, some of them come for 2months and 6months internship too. Average package offered by them is 9-10 lpa , jpmc , Goldman, visa they offer till 12 lpa and it can go up for some of the companies . Most of the companies allow to sit for 6.5cgpa and above but some of them allows 7.5 and above cgpa and jpmc allows 8.5cgpa and plus as far I know till now . I am currently looking forward to work in a company and get a placement.

Birla Institute of Technology - [BIT], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)
Reviewed on Mar 2, 2025(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is vast and allows a student to explore all the possible options to take before deciding on one . The field of elctronics and communication engineering allows one to deal with electronics and learn all the possible tinkering with them which is a very fascinating part as all the gadgets possible today were made of them. The curriculum does satisfy this thirst by teaching about them in the class of electronics and electricals and then experimenting in the lab with them . The areas for improvement could be that if a student is interested in a specific field then should be allowed to venture that field throughly instead of sitting in every class , but that is an imrovement for the indian education system as as whole . The classes of every subject does occur frequently and and exams take place every month in a form of quiz or proper pen based exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I like computer science and I can see my future in this course. The current ratio in computer science courses is around 1:5. And we don't have technical communication teaching at present and the college is saying that they will recruit teachers as soon as possible. The student-teacher ratio in all the branches is around 1:3. All facilities are well qualified and teach well but they are not permanent and hence they may or may not be changed next year. There are two semesters in each year and an examination is conducted after each semester. The difficulty level of these exams ranges from moderate to difficult.
