- The college has supportive faculty, the infrastructure is decent with well equipped labs and library. Spacious classrooms and a cafeteria.
- Campus life is engaging, the college has multiple clubs and events.
Dislikes
- Wifi is really poor, rarely works properly. In some classes the network is so bad that you can't even call anyone.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum focuses more on practical part. Various Hackathons are conducted to encourage students in making real world projects. However they still use outdated IDE's to write code. Trending topics aren't introduced yet like Devops, cloud computing, Blockchain etc. Each semester includes unit tests and end semester exams.
Internships Opportunities
The college has a dedicated training and placement cell to provide students with paid internships. Skill enhancement sessions are held both offline and online. One can earn around 8k-20k per month as an intern. College conducts workshops for the same.
Placement Experience
From 4th semester students can become eligible for internships and placement. Companies like Accenture etc comes, although they hire mostly for non tech roles. Average package is around 2.5. Many students prepare for comptitive exams after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is 50k per year, so overall it's 150000 for three years. Exam fee per semester is 4k. Have to pay full fees for that particular semester at the time of admission, everything else is included in the same fee. No financial aid is available but Sc/St students can claim scholarship from Mahadbt website.
Campus Life
Campus life is quite vibrant here. There is spacious parking facility. Spacious library and classes. Well maintained Cafeteria with affordable prices. Indoor sports options like Table tennis, Pool, carrom and chess. Cricket league is conducted every year with decent prizepool. Various Hackathons and other compititions are conducted. There are various coding and soft skills clubs one can join.
Admission
Other colleges have low or no placement support for courses like BCA. Good colleges like GHRIET Nagpur have limited seats and they take admission on merit basis. Till 2023 admission was based on 12th percentage. But from now onwards the admission is conducted through CET.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:75. The faculty are generally approachable and are willing to assist students. The course syllabus however is fully outdated for the older batches. The students who are going to take new admission now can take advantage of new syllabus according to NEP 2020. Exams are really easy to pass. Only a few faculties are experienced in teaching rest all are really bad. Assignments are given but aren't lengthy and quite relevant.
Night Life
Well maintained Cafeteria with affordable prices for food options. Huge library with vast number of books. Huge hall for events with comfortable seating arrangement. Safe neighborhood although there isn't much do.
