Critical Analysis

The curriculum has the good subjects and this influenced me in taking the course. The curriculum makes me get prepared for the real world applications and even for the higher studies. But the teaching will be like reading from the PPT presentaions. This should be improved and the faculty should teach the students not only theoretically but also practically. The exams are very easy and timing is also sufficent.

I have joined the college as the convenor student. The yealy fees for the course is 40,000 and we have pay semester wise. It will be 20,000. This is only the tuition fees. If you are staying in the hostel, the fee for hostel will be 35,000 per semester. The registration fee includes 32,500 for the whole 4 years which includes caution fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fee, exam fee. The caution fee and lab fee is 10,000. The exam fee is 10,000. The admission fee is 2,500. The registration fee is 10,000. This is the criteria for all the categories of convenor quota students. All my batch mates who have the got in to college through the EAMCET councelling have the same fee structure. But the Management quota students who joined the college have different fee structure. That is the semester fee for them is 35,000. For the year it will be 70,000. The hostel fee is same for everyone which is 35,000. There is no scholorship available for the students. But the convenor students get the tuition fee every year in 4 installments to thier bank accounts. But now in Andhra Pradesh all the convenor students are facing issues regaring fee as the government has not credited the fee yet to the students. But the college management is collecting the tuition fees from the students which is not issued by the government yet.

The college freshers day and the farewell are held every year and conducted by the students. All the festivals are celebrated in the campus by inviting the special guests. The library provides vast number of books and also digital libaries for online studying. The sports and extra curricular activites are more and anyone can perform in them. The are many student social groups and clubs for the students to join. The student portals are also available Which impact on the student life.

The hostel has only 10 sharing rooms. Everyone have to adjust there. There are only common washrooms. The food provided by the hostel is very bad. There is no registration fo the hostel we just have to pay the hostel fees and then join. The hostel fee is not so affordable. If we live on PG 14 kilometers away from the college is also not so good. Overall it is difficult to get survived in the hostel.

I have also applied for the JNTU, ALTS, SRIT, SVIT,PVKK in anantapur. But during the councelling in EAMCET I have got this BESTIU college. I even got SVIT college in my first councelling and I did not want to continue in the college. I have choosen this college because of the infrasturcture and friendly nature of the faculty of the college. I got rejected in all the other colleges because I have not secured a good rank in the EAMCET examinations. Because I have not written the exam on time and left some of the questions without answering them due to time constraint. The admission process to my collage is by visiting the college and joining through the management. The other process is by securing a good rank in EAMCET and keeping the BESTIU college code in the EAMCET councelling.

The faculty to student ratio will be like 1:40 and the faculty are mostly friendly towards the students and we can freely ask our queries to them and get our answers. As the GR of our class for over an year I have a good relationship with all the faculty. But specifically I don't have amy favouite. The exam structure will be like, 2 Internals, External and Lab will be conducted. Mostly there will be 4 to 5 subjects per semester. one internal is conducted 2 months after the start of the semester and the next internal will be conducted at the end of the semester before the External exams. Lab exams are cnducted before or after the semester as per the convience. The Internal exam is for 30 marks and 10 marks are for the assignment. The External exam is for 60 marks. The course curriculam is more relevant to the exams. Most of the students easily passes the exams if they study as per the curriculam given by the college.

There is no group discussion, Interwiew or written test for the admission and even there is no test. The process for the admission is very simple. I have not prepared for any rounds during the admission process.

The college hostel present inside the campus provides the good infrastructure. There is no gym and cafeteria present in the college. All the public areas will be closed after 6 PM and everyone should stay in the hostels only. The hostel and campus timings are from 8AM to 6PM. There are no hangout places in the campus and locality is not even safe for students because no one are present around the campus after 6pm.
