Course Curriculum Overview

3

I always wanted to be a chartered accountant that's why I chose the bachelors of commerce degree. As a CA aspirant the curriculum helped me to build my foundation which will be layed below the degree of chartered accountant. The areas for improvement are timely completion of the course, regular classes, active recall sessions, specific practical knowledge should be given about the subjects. The exams occurs on yearly basis and timings for the evening batch would be 8-11am or 1-4pm.

Fees and Financial Aid

So there are two batches for most of the bachelors degree. The first one is the morning batch and the second one is evening batch. The fee for the evening batch was 18000 yearly and one have to submit the fee in-total at the time of the admission. (Admission form fee excluded) There are compensation for the sc, st and sports students. Scholarships for merit students upto 50 percent.

Campus Life

1

There is a library which lacks diversity. There is a ground which lacks sports. There is a annual programming committee which lacks monthly, quarterly and annual programmes. If one don't ask for specific knowledge, no one bothers to even announce it to the crowd. Lack of mass communication.

Admission

As coming from a lower middle class family my one of the most important factor for choosing the college was the course fee. So the major reason for choosing this college was its affordable courses. I had also applied to the government commerce college but I didn't consider that college even after my name in the list as the college was bit further to my house and infrastructure was in a bad state.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is around 1:100. Due to the huge size of the class the teacher cannot able to focus on each and every student. The faculties are quite approachable and friendly. Poonam mam, Rajesh sir, Vishal Gautam sir and Suman mam were very friendly and approachable teachers throughout my college life. In the evening batch there is only one exam on yearly basis which is conducted by the Rajasthan University as the evening batch is affiliated to it. The exam are quite easy and one can easily clear if they put enough preparation even before a week of the exams. The students pass to fail ratio is 90:10.

Night Life

1

There is a gym in the affiliated Subodh's school building in which if you show your id you can get 50 percent compensation of the gym's membership. No hostel. Campus timing 8am-5pm. Most the students hangout in the college cafeteria or at the nearby central park.

i choose b.com because curriculum was relevent to my aspect, the curriculum is preparing me for my future studies is good but it is quite outdated in terms of todays world, so i would suggest 1 improvement to it, add new chapters and remove old boring chapters from curriculum. there and 6 to 8 months of gap between each semesters and they are quite tricky.
