- Mentors are really good and supportive in every aspect they'll guide you through out your academic journey and are very lively.
- There are a lot of events , trips and functions happening around so that you won't feel bored and also the weekly stalls.
- No issue over attendance so if you're preparing for a competative exam , this is the best college for you.
Dislikes
- There's a lot of chaos during examination times as the University Of Rajsthan's is way irreresponsive
Course Curriculum Overview
Quite good as the standards are set by the UNIVERSITY OF RAJASTHAN only it's up to date as per the NEP2020. There are a few not so important subjects but that's okay they can help you lift your grades tho. Curriculum is quite good as well , the faculty would complete the syallabus weeks ago so that you could prepare , there are also remidial classes for the help of students who weren't able to clear there exams. There are exams in almost every 3 months which is okay due to the new semester scheme.
Internships Opportunities
Don't expect a lot from college in terms of placement. Often Students look up for off campus opportunities, but there are a few banking companies, decathlon and a lot of digital marketing companies coming to hire or provide internship but again they are not tempting or worth it.
Placement Experience
Most B.Com students don’t get placed after college, and only a few land jobs with average salaries. Companies like ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, or sometimes Reliance do hire, but the roles are usually in finance or sales, which aren’t very high-paying. Internships are pretty rare, and only a small number of students get them, mostly with local businesses. The college does have a center that helps students with things like writing resumes, exploring career options, and other basic career advice. They also organize small events or seminars, but it’s not very consistent. There’s a group that talks about start-ups and encourages innovation, but it doesn’t seem like many students take part. Overall, the opportunities are limited, and most students either continue studying or find their own way after graduating.
Fees and Financial Aid
So for the very first year it's 16000, for second year it's 17000, and for the third year it's again 17000, hostel fees is 100000 per annum ( this includes everything , the library , the IDs , the cyber room etc.) however the exam form fees varies as decided by the University Of Rajasthan.
Campus Life
Campus life is okay, but it’s nothing extraordinary. There are quite a few events that happen, including annual and technical festivals, but they don’t feel very engaging. There are a lot of clubs like the Music Club, Akriti Club, the Entrepreneurship Club, along with many others, but they don’t really pull in much active participation. Most students seem more focused on studying, and since attendance isn’t strictly enforced, many don’t even come to college regularly. Instead, they go to coaching centers to prepare for competitive exams. The library has a decent collection of books and journals, but it’s nothing out of the ordinary. Classrooms are basic, with some technological provisions, but it’s not particularly impressive. There are sports and extracurricular activities, and that is something quite good in our college. Students often go to other colleges for competitions because they’re more exciting. Overall, I’d rate the college around 3.5 for socialization—it’s fine, but not very lively.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is quite good the room size varies you can expect 4 persons sharing a room. Tho the mess is really really good. Meals are served 4 times a day the food is very hygienic and quite tasty. And if you wish you can order different things online too, the college canteen is open till 5 so you can have something from there as well. Hostel registration is quite simple and has a different fee structure for AC and Non AC room you can expect around a lakh for a year. There are also days out for hostel girlies where they are set free till 5 pm.
Admission
So I initially applied for a lot of colleges in Delhi , got selected as well but then the circumstances changed and I wasn't able to relocate from Jaipur so I stuck here only and in the hurry I only looked up over a few colleges in jaipur like JECRC , POORNIMA, ST. WILFRED , SUBODH , KANORIA and a few more but few were expensive in terms of the course worth , few had attendence issues , rest of them were either far away or didn't match the expectations. Kanoria felt just right as it has no attendance issues, supportive faculty and reasonable fee structure.
Faculty
So the course structure is exactly what is prescribed by UNIVERSITY OF RAJASTHAN as the final examinations would be taken by them only , talking about the internal examinations there are just papers of core subjects like 3 per sem that too of just 20 marks (very easy peasy) and for the practical subjects there are a lot of batch activites which are quite fun and tbh a bit tiring as well. The teachers are really really really good in terms of experience, engagement, interpersonal connections, guidance, course delivery and everything.
Interview Experience
Did not had any interviews or conferences . I simply applied to admission form online and paid the fees. The admission form could be easily accessed through the official website or else you can apply offline at the college reception.
Night Life
Doesn’t have much nightlife. Everything shuts down early. The library and cafeteria are good during the day, but there’s not much to do at night. The hostel is safe and comfy, but most students stay in their rooms. Outside the college, there are places to hang out in Jaipur, but students don’t stay out late. The area is safe, if you live in hostel you need to take a gate pass. There are a lot of places like slbert hall, city market, patrika gate, a lots and lots of pubs, cafes and bars at around 4 to 6 kms . There are college clubs but they mostly have activities during the day. Overall, it’s quiet, and most students just focus on studying or exams.
