College Chronicles

There are no specific aspects but I like life sciences subject so that I chose Botany, Zoology and chemistry. Science is allover and around so, th things I learnt during the course can be applied in even our day-to-day activities also, coming to the scope of the branch, students can opt for lab technician jobs, apply for marine biology jobs, food science department jobs, by government and many others.

Graduated from Vivekananda Degree & PG College under Satavahana University, in 2022. The did not avail any scholarship or concession. The fee structure was 21,100/- per year. For admission and registration as per my knowledge I paid around Rs.900 -1100/-, Examination fee used to vary from semester to semester, on an average semester exam fee cost Rs.800-1200/-.

The 1st year we were welcomed with a freshers' party but later was corona pandemic and no big cultural events occurred. Later with the calming of the pandemic, many events inside our college were organized like women's day, Blood Donation Camp, Mega job mela etc. The library has enough collection of books, the facilities in classrooms were decent, and sports.

I myself chose this college over other colleges and I do not regret the decision. In my place, I can say this is a good college considering all the aspects, over other colleges. I did not apply for other colleges in my city, I chose this college because it has a good reputation and along with academics other fields of education were considered equally important, unlike other colleges. I applied for only one college through the website dost.cgg.gov.in and got approval from the college and then I reported to the college and completed admission formalities.

Faculty members are very easy-going and friendly. They ensure that students can come to them at any time to seek help and clearing doubts in college and can contact them even after college hours, regarding subject issues. They provide clear information regarding notes sources, especially during exams. For me personally, all the faculties were good and nice to me, I cannot choose only one. There used to be 5-6 subjects per semester and internals and practicals for each semester. The externals used to be not very easy but one can easily get good grades if spent proper 3-4 hours per a subject

Our college did not have the facility of hostel but there are many womeen and men's PG in around the college, so eventually there is no gym or cafeteria in the college. Usually college gets over around 12:30pm for some branches it may extend mostly till1:30 pm. The locality is safe to roam around the college at night.
