Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course, because there is more demand for people who have heavy knowledge in it (CSE AI-ML). As a student of First year currently, for now, I dont know how it prepares me for the real-world applications.
Fees and Financial Aid
I will be paying the yearly tuition fees of 3,60,000 for persuing B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering. The bus fees yearly is 65,000. The Registration fee is 5,000. Further we will be paying for the insurance fee with is 700. As a student from AP, i didnt receive any scholarship through SRMJEEE with 8k rank.
Campus Life
The Overall csmpus life experience is really great, its very flexible here and comfortable. We have so many fests that would be going on every year, but unlucky for us, we had many interuptions and inconviniences which led to cancellation of most of the fests or being postoned. Coming to the library, there are wide range of variety of materials which would really help someone who's seeking to gain a lot of knowledge and thres no scarse of books. The faculties are a 6/10, theyr not that great for a few subjects, bit for a few, theyre real nicee. and We here have a digital touch screeen board where most of the classes were taught on it. The sports and extracurricular activities are great. theres a huge ground and a lot of sports equipment, encouraging all kinds of sports participation. I am in a club about filmmaking. the club sessions are really great and enjoyable. you really learn something new, and for people who are in their desired club, they'd really enjoy
Admission
I considered SRM-AP as my backup college because its in the place i live in, its 30km away from my home. I also applied to VIT-AP, Amrita, Manipal and also attempted Mains. I wasnt selected for manipal and mains, but i didnt prefer to go to amrita. and comparing SRM-AP to VIT-AP, i chose SRM because the infrastructure and the campus life looked more comfortable here. And VIT didnt even have the AC's which is a no for me, because in the region i live in, its mostly hot, and i dont think its very tolerable without the ACs. I didnt get into a few colleges i applied for because of the lack of foundation i didnt get before preparing for mains. The admission process for SRM-AP is simple, we apply it through the SRM application portals which will be released after announcing the date of the SRMJEEE. It is an online exam which can be written from home and i have secured a score of 8k approcimately and i was elegible to select any course. So i have selected B.Tech in CSE AI-ML
Faculty
The faculties in SRM-AP are mostly fine, i dont specifically like a few faculties like the way of their teaching. They seem like theyre very uninteresting in teaching. for me, i have the problem with my maths and C language faculty. The exam difficulty is kinda medium to hard, the questions you get in the paper dont really come from all the concepts taught by the faculties, you need to give more additional efforts while sellf studying
Night Life
As a dayscholar, i dont know much about the night life, but ive seen the hostels, theyre pretty neat and nicee, would be comfortable for most people. the gym is air conditioned and the equipment is really good. Library is pretty big consisting lakhs of books to read and a lot of place to sit and work. there are ot of publuc places to hang out in the college, theres a lot of greenery and freshness and its very peaceful at times. The most famous hangout spots are the foodcourts and the seating area near the basketball court. and yess it is very safe to roam during night.
