Life in SVUCE

The curriculum is preetty good. It is very old syllabus and is outdated. There will be a total of 8 semesters and each semester will have 2 mid exams for 40 marks. The final mid marks will be highest scored mid*0.8+0.2* least scored mid. The semester will be for 60 marks and a minimum of 24 should be obatined in the semester exam with a total of 40 when mid marks are combined.

The placements before the resession were great. Now, the placement situation is worst and no one is getting any jobs in campus placements. The placed students can be counted on the finger tips this year. Only 1 perosn is placed from my class of 72 as of the time i am writing this.

The fee for the college is very as it is a government college and students also get JVD (if eligible). Even without any scholarships, the fee is quite low and almost every can affort it. There exam fee will be collected individually for each semester. The amount will be 2800 per semester and will be increased for every year by a ceretain percentage. The affordability of this college is pretty good. The amount for revaluation is a bit high, about 1000 per subject and the college is known to fail students fot the revaluation fee. Other than that, there is almost 0 to none extra fee to be paid by the students.

The campus life was great. Though the fests are not as big as the ones in the private college, the fests will be organised by the students and the students get to decide how to celebrate them. This increases the leadership qualities and responsibilities to the students.

The hostel is great. The mess is more than enought for almost everyone. The staff in mess in quietly friendly and respects the students. For the amount we are paying the hostels are absolutly worth it. The hostel maintaince is also good with regular cleaning.

The reviews of the college were good and the talk was great. I thought that a degree certificate from a government college will have more value than the private college. The placements were also good when i joined the college.

The faculty is pretty good. Some professors take teaching as a responsibility and teach well. While others are eabsolute worst and teach nothing in the class. The student to faculty ratio is approximatly 10 to 1. The teachers are good. Classes regularity depends on the teacher. In ECE department G. Srinivasulu and T. Srinivasulu Reddy sirs are the best and teach very well. The others are wrost and teach nothing. The exams corrections are the worst.

In college hostels there wont be any time limits to go out. The nights will be peaceful and anyone can njoy their times in the hostel. There are talks that wild animals are often seen around the hostel and college and students need to be a bit careful while going out at nights.
