Course Curriculum Overview

3

I got state rankings in English during SSLC and that pushed me to choose English Literature. The curriculum is good but the teaching methodology of the staffs is below average. Teachers were not upgraded. The timing during examinations are overall okay.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees per semester is ?14,000 and we have totally 6 semesters in 3 year. So, 6×14,000=84,000 for the whole course. It includes tuition fee, admission fee, etc. The examination fee, graduation fee is separate. Additional courses were offered and it is mandatory to opt for such courses and the price varies according to the course. For certain students like SC/ST, they have to pay the whole fee and the scholarship amount will be credited to their account later.

Campus Life

3

There's no cultural event conducted and only few academic events conducted. The college has enough library facilities and stored with many books and system technologies. The classroom comescwith projectors for displaying presentations, etc. Sports has given extra advantages with appointed masters.

Admission

I wanted to apply to the colleges in Madurai like Lady Doak. But, due to family situations, I cannot step out of the house and stay in a hostel. So, my parents asked me to opt for day scholar and go from home. And, I found this best among the colleges at my district, even though it wasn't my wish. I haven't applied to any other colleges. The admission process at this college is very simple. Straight admission is followed and there's no seat limitations and there's "no" to anyone who applies! Which means the application is open to all and no criteria is followed. All they need is an admission. I was wondered when I stepped out to other college admission process during PG.

Faculty

3

The faculty-student ratio is enough and the relationship also approachable. I like the former HOD Mrs. Zulaiha Shakeel, who is very confident in delivering the content. And about exams, there were two internals followed by semester. The exams were relevant to the course curriculum.

Night Life

3

Gym is allocated only for hostel girls and no student is allowed to be in campus when the college gets over. As there's no shift un college, I'm unaware about the nightlife campus. It has Masjid for myslim students and the canteen is somewhat okay to hangout.
