What Students Say
Likes
- The teaching faculty over here is amazing. They are very supportive and attentive to every single student.
- The peers here are also very calm and loving around there. They support you no matter what may come.
- The Sports program and co-curricular activities are also very nice here. There is a regular organisation of sports day, annual day and days celebration.
Dislikes
- The canteen when I came to this college was pretty beaten up. You could barely get food packets here.
- The campus life here is already very dead. There's nothing much to do inside the campus.
- There is very strict behaviour regarding the smallest things. Just recently some kids went up to the fifth floor and say down for some time.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum that influenced me would be Anatomy of Human Body. That really intrigued me so that is one of the primary aspects. The curriculum prepares us very well for the real world applications as we get to treat patients hands on for the majority of our curriculum so we are already trained when we enter the real life application of our curriculum. I don't think there is any need to alter either the course or the teaching techniquesand let it be as it is. We get exams on a frequent basis that is once every 6 months so that works, but we get are preliminary and University with an interval of 1.5 months or so. That is quite difficult to deal with but rather than that everything is quite easy.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am paying a total sum of 90,000 that covers everything including the lab fees, admission fees, registeration fees. In the initial year, I had to pay an extra 8,000 for library fees and sports uniform. I have registered under management quota whereas this is the same fee structure for everyone without any discrimination based on cast or categories. People from lower categories get a hefty scholarship that covers the complete fee.
Campus Life
There are dat celebrations i.e. halloween day, mismatch day, etc. There is an annual day that is organised somewhere around the beginning of the year. There is sports day in February or somewhere around February. There is celebration of almost all the festivals including Kite Festival, Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi and many more. There are almost all the books relevant to the course available in the library and there are number of journals available in the library. The facilities are amazing, they use the digital boards in classrooms, there are 3 air conditioners in every class. There are a number of sports offered on campus, there is volleyball, cricket, football, basketball, badminton, table tennis and many more.
Admission
I did not apply to any other colleges as this college was one of the best in this field in our city and has been producing University toppers consistently. So as a result i did not feel any need to apply to other colleges once I got into this college. No i did not get rejection from any other colleges. I simply didn't apply in any other colleges. The admission process is quite simple; you need to fill out the forms either online or offline however you find it suitable and they check the criteria an thanks pretty much it. You can pay the fees and your admission is complete. The exams that are accepted are any State Board Exams(HSC) or NIOS(HSC). Preferably state board is given by majority of students.
Faculty
There is almost 2 faculty for each of the subject. For the external subjects, external faculties are hired to teach those subjects. Faculties are really friendly and we go to them for every small doubt that we have. I can't name any single faculty i like cause they are all very nice and are amazing teachers, so all the faculties are my most liked faculty. There is no particular faculty that I don't like as well, they are all very friendly to us and help us in every way they can. There are a total of 3 exams per year. They are quite difficult to clear but the papers are set by Gujarat University. Somewhere around 70% of students cleared the exams in my batch. The course curriculum is quite relevant.
Night Life
There is a gym, library, swiming pool all in a close proximity of our college. There is the school cafeteria. The hostel and campus in timing is somewhere around 9 pm. The most famous place inside the campus is the cafeteria. You will always find a bunch of people chilling there. Where as for the outside of the college , there are a number of food chains just a few kms away from our college where we usually go after college if we are hungry. For late night activities we go to the riverfront which is just in a 10km radius of our college. The locality is very safe. We can easily roam at any hour without having to worry about our safety.
